Aardvark Children's Events:

Our next children's event will be on World Book Day, Thursday 7th March 2019. Watch this space for further details.

Crafts with Annie Thompson at our Winter Event on 17th November 2018 produced Christmas decorations and festive bunting which is now hanging in the BookBurrow!

Annie's crafty activities with children all around the theme of plants and growing things were really popular at our Easter Event this year, and another painted frieze has been added to the Bookburrow walls...

In 2016 the craft activities included creating a pretty Valentine's frieze, and at our Easter Event in April 2014, look what Annie Thompson created with the children - A beautiful Spring Frieze!

Here are the Christmas crafts created by Annie Thompson at one of our Winter events, hand sewn, popular with children and adults too!

Aardvark Books Schools' Events

We often host children's authors and have recently welcomed Katy Moran and Paul Dowswell to talk about their books. We can also provide educational visits to our art and map exhibitions, and visits by arrangement. Children from local schools have also enjoyed visits to the BookBurrow.

Children's Activities at Aardvark Books

The BookBurrow is always open during bookshop hours for browsing, play and reading! Do come and see the castle, pirate ship and princess seat, and enjoy a happy hour or two in a space created for inspiration and imagination.

We are always open to ideas for educational and enjoyable activities: please contact Sarah Swinson 01547 530744 for more information or to arrange a school visit or activity, or email Aardvark Books
