The Aardvark Easter Garden Event returns, on Easter Saturday, 20th April!
We are delighted to welcome back long-standing collaborators The Cottage Herbery, who will be bringing an amazing display of unusual and delightful garden annuals and perennials, flowers and herbs. Each year there is a different selection, depending on the season (and Easter is late this year).
We are also delighted to have Annie Thompson who will be holding craft workshop activities in the BookBurrow and there will be live music too, from Trevor Davies, Dayne Kranenburg and Deborah Rose, 12-2pm.
Also, as part of our art exhibition, potter Tony Hall will be demonstrating throwing on his wheel, from 11am onwards!
There will definitely be chocolate cake in the café, and we are also hoping for other chocolatey treats... watch this space!
Free entry, free parking, all are welcome! Bookshop, café and art exhibition will be open from 10am-5pm.

Saturday 20th April - Monday 6th May: The Flower Garden, Art Exhibition

You are invited to join us for the opening of 'The Flower Garden' at 11am on Saturday 20th April, at our Easter Event!
This stunning mixed media exhibition on botanical themes features flower photography by Sabina Rüber, paintings by Ruth Kirkby, sculpture by Lottie O'Leary and a range of garden pots by Tony Hall. The exhibition coincides with the publication of "The Flower Garden: How to Grow Flowers from Seed" by Clare Foster and Sabina Rüber in late March, and copies of the book will be available for sale at the Opening and during the exhibition, which is open every day - except Easter Sunday 21st April - until Monday 6th May.

We are holding the Private View beforehand with complimentary refreshments, and a chance to meet the artists. Free entry, please contact us for invitations. Date and time to be confirmed!

Our next children's event will be on Easter Saturday, 20th April 2019.

Easter and Spring Crafts with Annie Thompson and Tilly, 11am-3pm: Free activity for children!

Annie's crafty activities with children all around the theme of plants and growing things were really popular at our Easter Event last year, and another painted frieze was added to the Bookburrow walls...

In 2016 the craft activities included creating a pretty Valentine's frieze, and at our Easter Event in April 2014, look what Annie Thompson created with the children - A beautiful Spring Frieze!
