Rachel Podger, Arcadia Music Programme24th February 2019

Many thanks to the Ludlow Music Society for engaging Rachel Podger to come and play the Cello Suites in a version specially adapted for the Violin. A wonderful evening with an immensely talented and likeable performer. Another highlight of the evening was meeting up with Tom Bowes and Eleanor Alberga and hearing about the extended programme for this year's Arcadia. They are offering a heavily discounted early bird ticket which will include four concerts and an illustrated talk. Fantastic value.

It has an indefinible charm and a character that is utterly different from the mid-Welsh countryside, or the South Shropshire landscape - even though both are only a few miles away.
