The miniature painter who created this magnificent work was probably the same master who illuminated Margaret's Book of Hours; the stylistic similarities are obvious. The high quality of the miniatures and the splendid production suggest a princely patron. Each page features three magnificent miniatures. The miniature in the center depicts an event from the New Testament and is surrounded at the four corners by busts of prophets; the miniatures on the right and left show scenes from the Old Testament, which were seen as preparing for the fulfillment of the message in the New Testament. in hard plastic case
