Employment at Aardvark Books
At the end of October we were very sorry to say goodbye to Petra who has been with us for a year and who has done stalwart work for us and rapidly became extremely popular amongst our regulars and indeed customers in general. We are therefore looking for some temporary help in the café for the next two months, before appointing a new part-time café person in the New Year.
This week we also said goodbye (or at least au revoir) to Rowan who has worked for us at weekends and on other occasions for several years. Rowan has gone gap-year travelling, and whilst we hope to see her back here, I will not be able to enjoy our regular weekend conversations as she helps me on a Sunday. She has been a joy to work with, and I hope that she has a wonderful time exploring Italy and beyond. We are therefore also looking for some café help at weekends and on event days.
If you are interested in either of these positions please send your CV to ethelaardvark@btconnect.com.
The last fortnight has been extremely busy and I have therefore been somewhat delayed in working through the books we bought at Frankfurt as well as other recent purchases. If this year goes to pattern I would expect a slight lull for the next few weeks, during which I hope to be able to get back to book processing at the end of which the shop should be bursting with wonderful treats!
