A week of book buying and book processing11th May 2019

After a busy bank holiday weekend we started the week by having the sad task of breaking down the wonderful 'Flower Garden' exhibition. Many thanks to Ruth, Lottie, Tony and Sabina for producing such a wonderful show.  The space looks very empty at the moment, but  not for long because we are only a couple of weeks from the May Brocante - this year on Sunday the 26th of May - and after that the following weekend marks the start of our next exhibition - 'Out of the Hills 2019'.

Speaking of 'Out of the Hills' I spent part of yesterday morning writing the press release for the show and reviewing some of the images we have got of work that is going to be included. It is truly shaping up to be a spectacular show and I am particularly pleased that over half of those showing are new to Aardvark Books.

We have also had a rush of bookings for the Brocante and we only have a few spaces left for this May's event. If you would like to exhibit and have not yet booked I would urge you to do so sooner rather than later.

But most of the week seems to have been spent buying books and processing some of the books that we acquired last week. Incredibly I have also turned down a large number of books - even I can see that there is not much point adding to the ever growing piles of  boxes in the warehouse. Until science invents an effective cloning process ( and truly I am not sure if the world can cope with two Arthur Aardvarks), I guess I will have to get used to the sight of an ever growing stack of books. Still there is always the July sale ...
