Valentine's event is finally here17th February 2018

The sun came up t his morning and I realised that today is Aardvark's first event of our 2018 programme. And before I knew it  I was lifting in large boxes containing cake, helping unpack Sarah Rogers many boxes of delicious chocolates and today we also have a fantastic range of hand made country hats and accessories.

Spring Fair, Epic victory in Kingsland Quiz, 'The Bookshop' performance at Courtyard, Valentine's Event10th February 2018

Riding on the coat tails of our brilliant and extremely knowledgable neighbours the Aardvark Allstars team managed to emerge victorious at the Kingsland Teddy Trust quiz, beating some 18 other teams to the coverted first prize. Never has a victory been less deserved as the Ivy House contingent were simply awesome. My main contribution was finally remembering what goes into a bearnaise sauce ( yes it is Tarragon, but for some reason I just couldn't fix on the right herb and opted for Tarragon as being the only one that I couldn't reject out of hand). A great evening and lots of money raised for the Teddy Trust that is a great cause which Aardvark has been supporting for the last couple of years.

And so the new year turns3rd February 2018

It is frankly incredible that we are already a month in to the New Year and our plans for the next twelve months have pretty much now fallen into place. Many thanks to Jules McRobbie for starting and making such a success of the Shropshire Hills Art Week for the last four years.
