After a thorough search we have decided on two people job sharing to take over from Catherine when she leaves in the middle of next month. Katy Moran and Hilary Marchant will be working together to fill the metaphorically large boots that Catherine has left behind.

Book Buying, CD Buying, Fantastic Eclipse20th March 2015

The radio was full of helpful advice this morning on the best places to see the eclipse; Wales, the Midlands as far east as Lincolnshire. But why could they not just tell the truth. The only place to see the eclipse was from Aardvark Books as several of our customers found out. Paul was ready with his totally safe, eclipse watching device, and there was even delicious coffee and newly baked cake on hand ( looking at eclipses is after all thirsty work).

RSC 'Much Ado', new books, Welsh and World Book Day 5th March 2015

Crazy morning in the bookshop!

Our weekly Welsh class have been evicted from their usual spot and are hiding upstairs in one of the fiction bays. Meanwhile the BookBurrow has been invaded by some wonderfully behaved children from Bucknell School who have come in for World Book Day. Bucknell has got a very good reputation locally, and seeing how interested and engaged the children are, I can see why.
