This weekend is a final quiet moment before three very busy weekends in a row. Next weekend is the Bank Holiday weekend with our fantastic Vide Grenier on Bank Holiday Monday ( not to be missed with lots of fantastic bargains). After that the following Saturday is our celebration of author J L Carr ( introduced by author Matthew Engel), and the weekend after that is a double weekend with our H.Art exhibition Autumn Medley curated by Drusilla Cole opening on the Saturday, and the Ludlow Food Festival where we are running the festival shop and talk programme on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
But before all that today is the second Angelfest in the village of Kingsland where the aardvarks live when not in the bookery. Live music from 3-9pm, with other activities on the village green. A great list of bands, fantastic beers and the chance to raise a little money for the ongoing costs of the village green ( insurance, mowing etc). Not to be missed.
Also not to be missed are some of the wonderful new art books that we have just purchased this week. I am hoping to have some time today to start processing some and bringing them into the shop, but everything should be available by the middle of next week. Opening boxes full of new art, architecture and design books is one of the great pleasures of running Aardvark Books, and I am constantly inspired by some of the wonderful books that are published every year.
