Stop Press - wonderful children's books

8 large boxes of new childrens books have just arrived, and I have had tremendous fun this afternoon starting to put them into stock. There is everything from picture books (hardback and paperback), young fiction, puzzle books and YA fiction. A fantastic selection for children of all ages (and not a few adults too!).

I have so far got through four boxes and the rest will be going into stock shortly. The arrival of the kids' books topped what has been a pretty good weekend for us. Steady numbers through the bookshop and café and a continuation to the encouraging online sales we have had since the year started. There is no doubt that people of all ages love books - and a reasonable number also seem to have a hankering after home-made cake.
