White Crow, London Bookfair etc
Many thanks to all at Borderlines for making our sponsorship of the film 'White Crow' so enjoyable. A full group of Aardvark staff and associates were at the film - which I think I can safely say the whole audience seemed to really enjoy. Last night's showing at the Courtyard in Hereford was a pre-release preview, but I would urge you to go to see White Crow when it is more widely available. There is another showing as part of Borderlines in Malvern next week.
Incredibly this week is London Bookfair week, so once again the intrepid Aardvarks will be venturing up from the country to meet publishers and other booksellers, and hopefully purchase some wonderful books. London Bookfair is quite early this year so there will be the chance to see some wonderful art books earlier than usual.
We have just sent out this month's email newsletter with full details of everything that is going on at Aardvark over the next month. If you want to be included on the email list ( which features special invitiations and private views and offers) please send us your email details and name. I should emphasise that we do not sell or give our email list to any other parties so by subscribing you will not be getting lots of boring emails you don't want.
First Aardvark event of the year is the Spring music Event on Saturday 23rd of March. I was talking about his programme of music with Gareth Rees-Roberts on Friday and it looks as if it is going to be almost entirely a series of pieces by Argentine composers. Gareth's knowledge of Spanish and Latin American music is so extensive that it is a great pleasure to talk to some-one so knowledgeable. Also he was telling me about his wonderful Granada Guitar made by one of the last great guitar makers to be working in the city Paco Santiago Marin. Marin is a scion of a legendary family of guitar makers whose patriarch was the legendary Antonio MARIN MONTERO who was Paco's uncle.
