Busy Beavers
Phew. The last week we have been busy, busy, busy with our online orders and some quite busy days in the bookshop too. This time of year is always an anxious one as you hope for lots of Christmas orders, and then worry about getting them all processed and out on time.
Also in the offing are our two last events of the year. The Christmas Fair is now fully booked and we have a reserve list, so I am afraid that we are not taking any more bookings. However we have decided to add another market on Valentine's Day so if you would like to experience selling at an Aardvark market give us a call.
Before then we have then we have the Winter Event with a return visit of the Trevor Davies trio. Trevor has added a vibes player to his trio and the result is wonderful, soothing music. Don't miss their date here on the 21st of November. On the 28th of November Arthur Aardvark will be assisting our old friend Tony Good at the Ludlow Medieval Fair. Come and see us on Tony's Highground stand. Dawn our cake making genius has been whipping up batches of special Christmas (ie alcoholic) slices which should not be missed!
I have nearly finished processing the books from Frankfurt and our shelves are groaning with wonderful books, and some more of the superb Indian silk notebooks from Designwallahs which we have not had for some years. These make the most wonderful presents ( for oneself or another). We also have our biggest ever selection of Christmas cards from The Bodleian Library and the Ashmolean Museum. These are selling fast and we will run out of some designs, so come in and choose without delay.
