Lest any -one should think that there should be any lowering of the cake quality

Dawn our new cake supremo brought in a fantastic array of fresh cakes this morning. Yesterday although it seemed very quiet, we still managed to get through quite a lot of cake.

Her timing was impeccable as almost immediately we were besieged by hungry bikers who made short work of a large pile of goji berry and hazelnut flapjack. The Banana and Hazelnut cake looks incredible - part volcano, part work of art. I think we can safely say that the post-Catherine cake era has begun. Catherine plans to carry on baking cakes from her new base in Sussex, so residents of Lewes watch out!
