Winter Event arrives on time
Winter Event arrives on time
The Winter event was the first Aardvark Event we held after our Grand Opening in September 2007, and it has taken many forms over the years. One of my favourites was the year that we launched a book on Curry and the shop was filled with the smells of Mulligatawny. That first Winter Event the music was provided by the Trevor Davies trio and I am delighted that Trevor will be with us on today. And how about this for timing. The Winter Event arrives on the day of the first cold snap of the season.
This year we have also got some special one day offers throughout the shop ( best of all is on our fantastic Bodleian Wrapping paper which is at £3 for 3 sheets!), and I hope that you will be able to come in and take advantage of them. As ever at this time of year the shelves are pretty full with wonderful potential presents, and we have lots more stock to put out over the next few weeks.
Next weekend the Aardvark Café will be selling coffee, tea and hot chocolate at the Ludlow Medieval Fair with our old friend Tony Good from Highground Coffee. Dawn has come up with some fantastic recipes for Christmas treats, so if you are at the fair do come and try her Kirsch Cherry Brownies.
Finally we are fully booked for stalls for the Christmas fair and can't take any more bookings even for the reserve list. Should be a great event and we have Dutch Lewis returning to sing and play from his ever popular Christmas song book. With Edward's famous recipe for mulled wine, and perhaps even the odd mince pie, what could be better!
